Hey everyone, new to the forum!
Hey everybody, my name is Rick and I finally got my first (as in it won't be my last) classic Olds. I have wanted one since I was a kid and while I've owned a few other neat cars in my time, this one takes the cake...Well, for me anyways
So, about the car...It was born as a 1972 Olds Cutlass. Not sure about the original color or trim package as there was no papers with the car although I believe it may have been red before. During its lifetime, someone spent a seemingly decent amount of money on many 442 specific parts and swapped the original 350 with a 425 with C code heads from a 67' Olds Delmont. The car has bucket seats and interior that is not in too bad of shape at all in my opinion. I do have the sport steering wheel too...But no hardware to mount it
Now before anyone says any thing (not sure how frowned upon clones are in the classic car world) I do like what probably many owners before me were trying to accomplish. The paint is beautiful even close up, the interior needs some things here and there but it seems straight. The glass hood and spoiler are in good condition too! All in all, I'm pretty proud to own it (despite the car having a slight identity crisis lol!) Please be honest and check out the car. You guys are much more experienced in this line of cars so I'm open to ideas. I have much work to get the car where it needs to be but it'll come along I'm sure! Anyways, glad to meet you all and looking forward to being part of this great community!

I'll tell ya , first off DON"T worry about what other people think or say about it being a clone or make believe 442 , who cares !! It's yours and you can do whatever you want to it . Most of the guys on Classic Oldsmobile are just glad your on here and have an Olds powered car . Ask any questions you can think of that you want answered and you"ll get good precise and clear and detailed advice . And lastly.....Welcome ...Brian
