Thanks guys, she definitely needs some tlc. I wanted something unique and I guess I got that. Everyone on the road puts their phone down to stare and give me a thumbs-up. Lol in first 2 hours 5 people stopped to gawk at her.lmao. time to make her roadworthy so I can enjoy her in this AZ heat.

Thank you everyone. just curious is there any stripe kits for the hood that will look period correct? i just want to break up all the green. I'm also thinking of pulling the louvers and stripping the paint off them so they'll be correct.

For 1972 you would be looking for the non-OAI hood stripe kit.

Take a look at this site: Phoenix Graphics.

I can't really tell from the pictures what paint you are referring to. From what I remember of those louvers, they were black with silver on the top edges .

Another shot of the 1972 stripes for the metal hood. These were standard with the W29 442 package and optional on other Cutlii under RPO Y73 for $31. Unlike other years, these were decals from the factory.

when they painted this car, they painted right over the fake hood vents/ louvers. it would be nice to have a little bling on the hood like the yellow one Joe just posted above. I think with the green, white stripe and polished louvers, it will look amazing.

Actually the louvers were chrome on Cutlii, black with the W29 442 package for 1972.
