help with value on my 64 f85 WAGON
I have always prefered olds over other cars, my first car was a 76 Cutlass Salon, then 72 Cutlas, 68 442 conv, 67,69 delta 98s for eng. doners, super nice 65 442 with all options, 67 Vista Crusier..unfortunatly that leaves me to my last and only 64 f85 deluxe flat top wagon.....which I am planing to sell...any help to value,? I think it is a pretty rare car maybe only 900 or so made, this one with factory AC......the drivetrain is done with replacement 425 eng, 400 trans , posi rear...rust free, but needs paint, some body and complete interior......I believe alot of these lighter weight wagons were choped up for drag racers?.....Whats she worth?????Thanks

It's actually about 15,000 total F-85 wagons made in 1964.
According to Setting the Pace, there were 4,047 1964 F-85 wagons made and 10,493 F-85 Deluxe wagons. Is yours a "Deluxe" or a regular? In either case, it's more than 900.
Regardless of production numbers, though, I think you're right in thinking that this would be a pretty rare car now. Wagons weren't kept the way coupes and convertibles were.
As far as value, the non-stock engine and drivetrain will make for some significant subjectivity, but a stock '64 F-85 wagon in #4 condition (runs and drives but needs complete restoration) is worth about $2200 according to the June 2011 issue of the Old Cars Price Guide.

Welcome to CO, I agree with Jaunty, your car should be significantly more rare than a two or four door model of the same year. I haven't seen any for a long time until yours today.

My car is a Deluxe......I thought for sure somewhere I looked up much lower production totals....I may look around for it again....but thanks for your input!
