Actually, assuming that's the original Olds trans and not the Buick Dynaflow, it's a Rotohydramatic 5.

The value will be about half of what the old car guides claim. Search completed auctions on ebay and you'll find that these cars rarely break $4K, even in outstanding condition. The highest value one that sold recently was a beautiful 1962 Buick Skylark and the owner claimed that he had spent $20K on it. It sold for under $8K.

Joe, school me, was the engine swapped sometime in the past,or..were Buick motors used in the '63 F85?

All 1961-63 Olds F-85's used an aluminum 215 ci. Buick engine. Olds designed there own heads, and used a slightly lower compression ratio on the 4bbl.engines

To clarify, Olds only installed Oldsmobile versions of the 215 in the F-85s. If the car really does have a Buick version of the 215, it was swapped in after the car left the factory. As noted above, the basic engine design was done by Buick (which is why the 215 shares a lot of parts with the Buick V6 and small V8s). Olds designed their own heads, pistons, and valve covers. These parts do not easily interchange with those on the Buick/Rover versions of the 215.
