Question Help!!

Hi y'all ok first i want to thank everyone who helped me on decoding my engine. Now Im starting to work on my interior and I have ran into a problem on my drivers door, It wont release all the way now and I cant get her open, I got the door panel off and it sounds like the door lock is working right just wont release any help on this issue would be great, thanks. the door opens part way and and wont release all the way

Hanging up on the striker. Have you had to slam it to get it closed?
I'm thinking worn out hinges. The door is out of alinge somewhere.

If it goes that far, the first thing to try is to shoulder it hard from inside.
If that doesn't do it, I'm not sure what to do next, as it does sound as though the latch is actually unlatching.
It may be that the release is catching at the second detent, in which case, a good spray with penetrating oil, repeated several times over several days, along with working the latch over and over, may release it.

try also lifting the lock **** up and down several times and or using the key to lock/unlock it a few times
