Hello every one I've just joined you great forum. I thought you may like to see my collection of classics

Welcome to CO, Swesson! I'll take a stab - is it some type of Sunbeam? Love the '68 4 door, for some reason.
Nice '62 Caddy, also. Visited Land's End on our honeymoon, Nance's supposed to originally from Cornwall. Fantastic trip! 10 years later, visited a cousin who had married an Englishman, their home in the country, small village about 11 miles from Stonehenge. Once again, wonderful time. Fish and chips, a jillion types of ales at the local pubs, etc. Once again, welcome to our site!

I won't spoil it for our US friends.
Be interesting to see who is the first American to guess correctly so I won't give it away.
I know the car, It's made by the same maker that came up with the original concept for the VW Beetle, No, it wasn't Porsche!.
I'm guessing it's an early '60s model, must be rare as rocking horse ****.
Where are you based?, I'm in Margate btw.
PS; welcome to the forum!.

Hi Roger didn't know about the beetle thing. It's a 1965 the last year that they made the saloon until they brought the name back in the late 90's ( that's another clue folks) it is a very rare car i think i haven't seen any others since i bought of ebay (impulse buy) I'm in Newark notts do you know of any good sources of olds parts in the uk?
If Skoda can do it so can GM.
I don't think Skoda is marketed in the USA, they have been owned by VW since 1990, SEAT (Spanish) are also in the VW group.
Skodas were a joke brand in the uk for many years, with a badly made out of date rear engined car being their only model.
"Why do Skodas have a heated rear screen? - to keep your hands warm when you're pushing it."
"how do you double the value of a Skoda? - Fill up the tank."
Since the VW takeover they have completely turned themselves around, making cars based on Volkswagen designs and putting them together at least as well as the parent company. Now they are recognised as makers of good quality reasonably priced cars, even competing with upscale models with the Skoda Superb, this is upheld by the way they hold their value on the used car market.
If the Czechs can do this surely the American automakers can do the same.
Any of our American friends know what the British classic is?.

UK suppliers.
Me again swesson,
For regular service parts US Automotive, Rodley Motors & OCW have given me good service and I'm happy to recommend them.
Body panels & trim are another matter, often they need to be sourced in the US. It might not be simple even then, a lot of suppliers won't accept cards without a US billing address. Other members from Europe have the same trouble. Maybe we can organise something through this forum?.
Are you a member of any clubs?, often they can help.
Are you going to the AACI show at Billing in June? if so maybe we can meet up and have a beer or two.
