Hello from Switzerland

I'd like to say hello to all of you!

I'm located in Switzerland and recently started to regret the biggest mistake I made in my whole life so far (it's only 28 years old ).

I used to have a 1967 Olds 442 in very original condition. It had only one repaint and everything else was stock. Bought it in 2001 and sold it in 2006 I believe..I hate myself for doing that!!

The car had some special options and did run in switzerland since 1967. Had to do some work on it to be roadworthy again. It featured a km/h speedo, original front disc brakes, climatic combustion control, power windows, power antenna, front bench seat with column shifter. I had the original wire wheel covers but painted the steel wheels in car colors and got some olds dishes and redliners on them. Later I changed to 15" SS1 for looks (since the original SS1 wheels were not available for disc brake cars)

Here are some pics of the car. I anyone knows this car (the guy who bought it lived partially in the states), maybe a member from europe...please contact me. I tried to find the guy I sold it too..but he moved from the adress I have in the selling contract

I registered here to get in touch again with Oldsmobiles and guys that do care for them! By now I am doing further education and can't afford to buy a 442 right now.

Greetings from Switzerland!

Benny

Welcome to the site! Yes, that would be a hard car to replace, but maybe some day you'll be able to find something similar you can enjoy! John

Hi from Germany & welcome! Don't know of very many early 442s, but I know of a beautifully restored '66 convertible in Luxembourg, '63 Cutlass convertibles (1 in the Black Forest in Germany & 1 in Switzerland), & the only other '65 442 (convertible!) in Germany. The '63 in the Black Forest is convertible '63 on the forum here!

Greetz,

Ralph

Welcome to CO Benny. I sure hope you can find the car you once owned and perhaps end up with it or another similar to it. It was sure a nice looking car!
