Hello from NJ
What's up everyone! I figured I do the right thing and make my 1st post in the newbie section.
I've had an Olds in my possession every year since 1991. I currently have 2: '72 Cutlass Supreme which I've owned for 20 years (orig Rocket 350, +.030", big cam, Edelbrock intake and carb, 350 turbo w/kit, 10-bolt Auburn posi, buckets/console, green with green top and dark saddle interior). She's a bit of a mess though and she's on her way out because......
My new toy as of 6/23/12... 1970 442, black with gold W30 stripes, OAI hood, spoiler, has Olds 350/400 turbo in it now but came with 455 block and "E" heads. I'm super stoked about the 442, my dream car! Got it out of a barn in Michigan, trailered it 12 hours back to NJ. It's got a clean title and, most importantly for me at least, it's legit! It started life green with green interior and my long-term plan is to restore it back to that. I also plan on returning the correct powerplant when the $$ allows. Short-term plan is to yank motor and trans (both done in '07) from my '72 and drop them in to the 442. Sacrelige on some level I know but I got a lot of $$ in that '72 motor and trans.
I was turned onto this site by someone from a Ford site (MercuryMarauder.net), of all places. I got 1 of those too ('03 black, 4.6 DOHC, awesome car!) but she's also on her way out. All attention on the 442!
Not sure why I didn't hear of this site before but I've been snooping around for a few days and I'm very excited to be here. Stay tuned....
Pics when I can get that to happen.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've seen quite a few Oldsmobiles around NJ.
I tried the pics...no dice. I started a Photobucket page, here's the link:

I finally got my Olds' together and I updated the Photobucket page with a few more pics. That '72 beater was my baby (believe it or not!) for over 20 years. Never stranded me in all those years. But she's tired now and she's falling apart! Born, raised and kept in the northeast...winter's are cruel! She will be giving up her motor and trans (both done and worked in '07) to my 442.
