Thumbs up Hello...New Enthusiastic Member

Hello All... Dad passed down to me a 1948 Olds Dyna 76 with a Flat head straight 6, I live in Chicago and am looking for help, restorers and any info. Have car with orig. everything. Having hard time finding knowledgable person/shop. Would appreciate any advice in process, would like to keep as orig. as possible, if not then thinking of other options.

Talking Welcome to CO

Sounds like you have a project on your hands. They are neat cars. I have a 1948 Series 76. It is a work in progress and is highly modified not stock at all. There are a few fat fender guys on site hopefully we can help you out. Ask your questions and lets how we measure up.

Welcome.
I would keep it stock, not many original '48's around anymore, everybody pimps them.
I prefer to experience that certain je ne sais quoi of an original or restored elder automobile.

Hey Buddy there is a restoration shop in Mt Morris that it might up his alley to do this if interested I will see if he has some room for another project of this sorts

Welcome to CO. If you can keep us updated with descriptions and photos of your restoration that would be neat. We have a major builds forum for that kind of thing if you are good at writing. Do you have any pictures of your car?
