Hi, Oldsmobile enthusiasts,
I am an author of several books, including CAR CRAZY: The Battle for Supremacy between Ford and Olds and the Dawn of the Automobile Age, which will be published on Nov. 3. Much of the book is about the early days of Oldsmobile -- the era of the Curved Dash, Ransoms Olds' first mass-produced vehicle and the most popular car in the US in 1904. Also, the model that raced another Curved Dash from Manhattan to Portland Oregon in 1905 -- the first-ever cross-continent race. I'll be posting more updates -- and will be happy to answer questions from anyone interested in those very early Olds days. My last car book, BTW, was the critically acclaimed MEN AND SPEED, about the 2001 NASCAR season that began with the death of Dale Earnhardt at Daytona. Thanks, G. Wayne Miller
