Hello from AZ
Greetings!
My name is Pat and I just picked up a 68 Cutlass S that's been made into a 442 clone. I don't have much experience with working on cars so I'll be doing more reading then answering questions. I look forward to meeting everyone and learning more about my oldsmobile.
Thank you in advance for your support and guidance,
Pat

Sure thing but it broke down about 5 mins after taking those so I'm waiting on getting it back from the shop. I replaced the alternator was taking it out for a spin when it seemed to be starving for gas. I'm just starting to tinker with this stuff and didn't feel comfortable messing with the fuel system in my garage.
Here's the last one I took

I like to do my own work too, but there's a guy in the local Olds club who does repairs. I haven't tried him yet, but it's good to know in case you get stuck on something.

Hey, where in Chandler are you? I may be fairly close at Chandler Blvd. and 40th Street.
I'm a long time AZ Olds Club member. The fella mentioned above is a good guy, good mechanic, and really knows his Oldsmobiles.

Once the heat of summer has passed we'll resume the monthly club meetings up at The Pavilions at Indian Bend and Pima in Scottsdale. If you have never been there on Saturday evening you are missing one of the largest, continuously running car shows in North America. It goes on EVERY Saturday afternoon/evening and has so many cars I can't even begin to count them. You should go check it out - it's not necessary to drive your Olds. At least not until the club meetings resume, and then it will be mandatory for you to have your car running.

I actually heard about the Olds mechanic from Kenneth, who I met at the monthly meet at the Pavillions. I'll join up when I get my car back on the road. Judging from the guys I've met so far, there's a lot of good advice from that group.

Sounds like a good time! Looking forward to checking it out and to it getting a little cooler. I'm actually right down the street from you at Chandler and McClintock. Glad to hear there are some olds fans so close by.

Welcome Pat! Sweet car. Could you add a picture from the rear? My favorite angle. Darn, I miss those Pavilion meets. I lived at Alma School and Guadalupe for 16 years before moving to NC. Don't miss the heat. Here I've only driven my cutlass once with the top up and only turned on the a/c to see if it still worked.
