I have a 69 Cutlass 2-door hardtop, 455 with Edelbrock heads, Mondello camshaft, Torker intake/Edelbrock 850 Q-Jet ( I love Q-jets!), TH400 trans with 10inch 3800 converter (I work part time for American Engineered Performance, my Olds is a guinea pig for new converter ideas, we had 17 different converters in this car, got it to the point of swapping converters in 45 min!), 12 bolt with 3.73 gears, spool, Mosier 33 spline axles, etc Best performance so far has been 11.51 @114, with a 150hp of nitrous went 11.02 bouncing of the rev limiter the last 150 ft (cant bring myself to spin the engine higher than 6200!) In Oct of 08 I broke all 5 lug stud on the drivers rear, wadding up the front of the car. Im slowly putting it back together as funds allow, Im laid off from Chrysler Transmission Plant in Kokomo Indiana. Never would have guessed with almost 13 years in Id be on the outside looking in!

My other Olds is a 87 Cutlass, stock 455 with a 2004r and 8.5 3.73 gears. It has all the options (everything works, including the air and cruise control). Ive taken it on the Power Tour twice, runs mid 13s, gets 17 mpg. Not to bad for a bunch of spare parts! Id post some pics, Ill have to have my 11 yr old show me how!

Sounds like a real cool car. I know about being laid off most of 2008 I was laid off from job. I know about breaking studs too. I had an Pontiac that I raced.

I lucked out people stopped me before I could do any damage. It looked funny the car was setting low with the top of tire tilted out.

No lug nuts I jacked it up no studs I only found three of the lug nuts. Hope you get car back to gather soon. Yeah it sucks to be laid off. Best of luck to you.

Last Summer I remember driving South from Knox, IN on Route 35 - towards Kokomo...and there was some guy that has about 30 old Cutlasses parked behind a tall chain-link fence...I guess that is a good "start" to a collection.

Good luck on your job search!

Welcome to CO. Sounds like you are performance oriented. That is good, we can use some more of that here at CO. Must be kind of cool having a guinea pig/test bed for this kind of thing.
