Hello

My name is Scott, I recently bought a 1992 olds 88 Royal LS. I'm really looking forward to getting advice. This is actually not my first olds I had a 70 cutlass when I was younger.

OHHH YEAHHH!

I just bought my 96 Olds 98. Great minds must think alike.

Be aware that the 3.8l v6 had issues with the lower intake manifold gasket blowing. If your Olds is going through coolant, chances are it's the intake gasket and not the head gaskets. If you re-gasket the lower intake manifold you'll also want to replace the plastic coolant elbows. Make sure you get better o-rings than the ones on these Dorman replacements though. The easiest place to get the o-rings is the auto parts store:
