Hello!

My name is John and I am a retired cop who now manages a classic car collection for a gentleman in Durham, NC. We have two 58 Super 88s; one hardtop and one convertible. The convertible is pretty amazing. It has 20 options and is mostly original. The cars are set up in a museum atmosphere, and I have (hopefully) included the convertible's placard for your amusement.

I also have a question regarding the fuel pump on the 58s. Is the pump specific to that year, or was that particular pump used for multiple years? I ordered one on ebay on May 16th, but it never got to FedEx. I am dealing with that situation now, but I may need to look elsewhere.

Thanks for your help,
John

Welcome aboard. The pump should at least be the same as a 57 and probably the same as 54-56 but have someone with a Hollander exchange catalog confirm that 54-56 before you make a order. That convert is a very rare car, high in cool factor... Lost in the fifties Tedd

Welcome to the group... It sounds like you are enjoying your retirement and your new management position... That's a job a lot of automotive enthusiasts would like to have in their retirement years...

I was just in Durham on business on Tuesday. Next time I'm up that way, I'll swing by.

Hey Brian,

I look forward to meeting you. I work at Mark Jacobson Toyota. We're right off of I40 and easy to get to. Give me a call or text (919) 428-0426 the day before so I can make sure that I am available to spend some time with you.

Take care,
John
