Welcome. You currently own the Cutlass, or are you considering purchasing it?

Second one. I´m talking with the owner to buy it, but it is a bit difficult to convince. I found a 76 4d Supreme, but the square headlights doesn´t appeal me a lot...

Welcome to the site! I would think there's not many Oldsmobiles in your part of the world.

More than you can suppose. Not for the common people, of course, as they were expensive for their size, gas mileage and taxes, but in certain places, where NATO has bases, used to be. And also for enterprises, as american cars were very prestigious here. However, not many survived...

Most 4 doors are not as desirable as their 2 door counterparts. I guess over there they would be more popular because of their limited numbers.

With regards to popularity now and always. Outside of its first time being purchased. But that's just a looks thing. Same quality car as the 2d and they share same engines etc.

I've seen beautiful 4d versions actively stay for sale for years.

The fact is, body parts, powertrain parts cost the same for a "more door" as a 2 door. The value of the "more door" is considerably less than a 2 door. In other words, it costs as much to restore or maintain a "more door" but will never have a very high resale value.

I don´t have the intention of selling it. Same happen with my first classic (a 75 Ford Granada, but European) Here is not popular, but is a good car. You only have to change oil when needed and it is reliable as hell.

Welcome aboard! The collonades are not as popular as the earlier "A" bodies and later "G" bodies but to my eye have great style.
