Greetings from southeast Missouri!

Hi all! I just wanted to introduce myself. I am Rick Vandeven from southeast Missouri (100 miles south of St. Louis). I am the proud owner of a 1968 Cutlass S with 65,000 original miles. I have owned my Cutlass since 1990.

I took my car apart in 1999 with the grand aspiration of a "complete restoration". I have done a lot of stupid things in my life, and this ranks in the top 5.

This fall, I gave myself the choice to either finish the project, or sell the car. I decided to finish the project, with a finish date goal of July 4. Since then the Cutlass has received a new paint job, motor refresh, trans rebuild, suspension rebuild, carpet, front seat re-upholstery, trunk restored, and suspension work.

The problem that I am facing now is after replacing all of the brake lines and master cylinder; I forgot how to put the front drum brakes back together. In a display of infinite wisdom that only a 25 year old can display, I took the brakes apart in 1999, and put all of the parts in an empty ice cream tub.

The back brakes are pretty straight forward. It is the front drum brakes that are a puzzlement to me. I plan on making the switch to disc brakes in the future, but currently my funds are running low, and I have to live with drum brakes in the front for now.

Does anybody have an exploded diagram of the front drum brakes for a 1968 F85 / Cutlass / 442 that can be shared, or direct me to a thread which already has this information?

Thanks, and I will be posting pictures soon.
