Too bad you didn't see mine. I live in Freiburg. But, unfortunately, my Olds isn't here . It's a '66 Starfire which got removed from a Garage in Detroit, Michigan where I had it stored until I finished refrigeration school. When I came to get it, the neighbor told me a towtruck removed it and hauled it to a scrapyard. The scrapyard owner confronted me, packing what looked to be a long-barreled 44 and said he never had the car in his yard. After filing a report, the Detroit police never contacted me to inform me as to what stage the investigation has progressed. Since I still have the title, I'm still legally owner of the car of which might have long been pressed into a cube, for all I know.
It was the best and most fun car I've ever owned. Nearly cost me my driver's licence, though
I keep bumping into this forum and there are some priceless threads here. I kept putting it off, since I'm in too many forums already. But, finally, I couldn't resist.
If the opportunity arises, I'd like to get one again. My second choice would be a '67 Delta Custom with the optional Starfire package or even one without the package which could get modified at a later date:

Oh well. These things happen. It would be even worse if the car ended up in the crusher than if it somehow ended up in loving hands. Since these models were rare.
I'm planning on travelling down to Acuncion, Paraguay (I'm commissioned to buying property for a friend), late this fall and might spot something worthy. If it's not what I'm looking for but is an Olds, I'll let everyone see it and get a price

Hi Killian: Welcome to the Classic Oldsmobile Forum: Sorry to hear about your '66 Starfire. It is one of my favourties.
I live across the river from Detroit in Windsor, Ontario. I just happen to own a 1967 Olds Delta 88 Custom Holiday Coupe. It's a great car that I picked up January 31, 2010 for only $2,500.00. The 2nd owner had brought it back from California 10 years earlier. His father-in-law also had one, so he took parts from both and made a pretty good car out of them.
This car has had it's issues but for the most part everything is pretty good with it now.

Take Care,

Jaybird

Thanks everyone for sharing my loss. Since I've been here, a light is to be seen at the end of the Oldsless tunnel
