WOW! A place where people actually want to listen to you about your car!
My passion is a 1991 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. It's a base model, i.e., someone forgot to put all of the bells and whistles on it at build.
305, not the LT1.
This car was owned by a Buick Employee who bought it and parked it until his Florida excursion each year. He would drive it in Florida for a few months and return to Michigan in the spring. It was parked in his garage until his next trip south. Less than 6000 miles per year were put on this car!
A co-worker purchased the car from him then gave it to his daughter to drive *GASP!!!* Well, a near flawless car is now a great looking car for its age. Very little damage except for the paint ruboff on the Right tail light and a dimple in the trim. The not so bad ... a divot in the front seat from 106,000 miles of *** pushing down in it. The interior is flawless.
Things I want to do:
Replace the weather stripping all around (I'm big on quiet)
Install the features (toys) such as Climate Control, Delco CD, Power Seats & change the velour seats to leather.
No Smoke, No Leaks, 1 Error.
I've owned her for a month and have had 4 offers to buy. (2 kids, an older gentleman and a dealer in Livonia, MI). Something very special would have to come along to get me to do that.
I'm taking a beating on this comrades! It's a barrage of Clark Grisold jabs and jeers. But if Clark Griswold can lure Christy Brinkley into a pool driving that crapper he had ....
Still asking myself ... "how did I get this car, it's too good to be true!"

My coworkers frequently refer to my 83 CC as Griswold or Family Truckster.
We had a snowstorm here several years back and I drove it to work with studded snowtires. I had gotten to within 3 miles of the plant and managed to go skating off into a field. Got out and came on in, though I could tell it was driving wonky (bent a tierod). I didn't say a word about what had happened.
Rest of the crew came in and was talking about how somebody had gone off into that field, and one of them had done the same thing in a 4WD Mitsubishi truck. They were wondering who the first one was and when I finally owned up, one of them immediately said Griswolds taking off out thru the desert. So Griswold it was for the rest of that winter. Some of them will bring it up now.

Please indulge a guy his master plan ...
I'm an avid golfer as well. There's a pretty good golfer out there that just vacated the job at Buick Golf. Maybe if I drive this, er, Buhog, into the right Country Club I could interview for the job!

Don't let Bluevista get to ya.
My Ma had a Deuce and a quarter [Electra 225]
Blue, I like this guy [don't know what he was smoking during the master planning] but I like him.
My no good Brother in law jes wrapped one just like yours around a tree. [Same color even] I think he got "over searved" at the dud suds joint, What a waste.
I've always liked Granny Sports also.
As aside note.
IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN
All that GM A body "nothing larger than a 400 ci motor" is a pseudo myth. Wasn't the Nailhead really a 401

I had forgotten the rivalry a wife can develop with a man's love for his automobile.
Ever look a woman in the eyes and say, "Be still my idling throttle"? Usually good for a couple of hours lone time.

I guess if you dog out Tiger and like beer and pickled bologna you can't be all bad.
Welcome.

Excuse me, sir??? I'm the best thing that's happened to the neighborhood!!!
What the heck is pickled bologna??? Another one of those "certain ethnic" foods?

Jamesbo.... It was nice to see that old commercial! Now a days seems like all the commercials are about cell phones or computers. Or cars - that all look the same!

I hadn't thought about a fried bologna sandwich in a long while; raised on that and red beans/cornbread/onions (not necessairly at the same time - we may not have had much money, but we always had red beans!). Gonn'a go to the store today and get the fixin's for lunchtime!!!!

Yes, it is certain ethnic food. It's certainly hillbilly dining at it's finest.
A side of Ritz crackers and colbyjack sharp. * insert hee haw characters*
Great fuel for The Dutch Oven or There's a bat in the bedroom festivities.

The car I missed out on was an Omega with original V8. $700 on Craig's in Detroit. Typical Michigan rust bucket, just too much to recover. But she ran real nice.

So I'll toss this out there, is this guy in touch with reality or is he asking too much?

OK, the plan has paid off! I submitted my new logo idea for Buick/Nike Golf, and I have the winner!

They are disappearing quickly now, Ca$h for Clunkers filled the salvage yards with them. If you are seeking parts for these cars now there are plenty and inexpensive for the time being.
