Finally took the plunge.

Hey all. I just joined the site after finally pulling the trigger on a 'fun' car. My last one was when I was 22. Now I am 42, so yes, mid life crisis in full swing.

I started my search looking for original vehicles and then my budget made me reconsider when I saw this tribute 442 convertible. The convertible sold me.

A previous owner had planned to drag race this car so much of the wiring is butchered. I am in the process of pulling it apart now to get things like wipers and the horn working. Not sure how much weight he saved cutting out wires!

Welcome aboard. If you need any help with the wiring just ask. Many people have lots of knowledge here.

Nice car and that's not a mid life crisis, that's just an itch that needs scratching.

Nice car. It's not a mid-life crisis, it's a hobby and not as crazy as most folks think. A driver quality old car and a practical 3-5 year old daily driver is cheaper than a new BMW (Lexus or any modern belly-button clone) by a long shot. Enjoy your new addiction like the rest of us.

A complete wiring out of a parts car might be an option to look into.

I have 4-5 such parts cars, but none are convertibles

Engine, forward light, and rear light harnesses aren't too expensive new, like from M&H, and you can order with options, like for HEI and a larger gauge charging wire, internal reg alt if it doesn't have one. It's worth it, nothing worse than getting left on a side road at night with wiring problems.

Nice car by the way!

I always thought the mid-life crisis involved a younger blonde lady. Of course I'm just talking from hearsay. Enjoy your convertible. Ken
