Electronic quadrajet help stumble on acceleration

We had a bad tps in our 87 cutlass 307. Removed the top of the carb, replaced it, new gasket and reassembled. Tightened properly. We replaced it per the manual, tested it and set it properly.

We now have a stumble upon any acceleration. It stalls when you press the gas worst case

Any ideas? I assume it is the pump but we did not touch anything there but remove the plunger and reinstall it.

Please help.

With the engine off, take off the breather. Look down the primaries. Push down on the accelerator pump. Does the pump squirt out some gas into the primaries?

Are all the linkages on the choke side functioning correctly?

I fixed it!

Darn it, don't I feel foolish. The bowl gasket was installed over the electronic solenoid rather than under it for fuel mixture. I feel stupid but nothing says not to install it over it. The gasket is even cut to sit over it.

Anyway, we are 100%. The 87 cutlass with 21000 miles now runs new again!
