Due praise.
I recently made a deal with Jerseyharold for some old road test reports.
To simplify dealing with an overseas purchase we agreed I would send cash by mail and he would let me know when it arrived and forward the items to a mailing address in Texas for me.
I posted the cash on June 26th and he PM'd me on July 2nd to let me know it had arrived.
So well done Royal Mail and USPS for prompt and efficient service, and thank you Harold for keeping me up to date.
Every party involved did what was expected of them, Jerseyharold has his money and I can look forward to reading my magazines.
Smiles all round.
Roger.

Excellent. I love the USPS. I use them any time I possibly can. So much faster than UPS and FedEx, and it moves, always. Packages seem to spend a lot of time just sitting with other carriers.

I bought head gaskets and some other stuff from BTR last Friday. On Monday I ordered some other stuff from Andy Miller at OPP.
The OPP stuff arrived Wed. via USPS
The BTR stuff arrived TODAY via UPS
I'll take US Postal any day.

It was only $20, if it was stolen I would be out $20 + £1.23 postage, I can afford that risk. Much worse would be missing out on the deal, and Jersyharold thinking I was jerking him around.
BTW we agreed that no action was expected from Harold until he had recieved payment, money orders etc would delay things while they cleared and would add to the cost
I have sent cash this way before, I fold the money inside a greeting card which I hope may fool the amateur thief.
I would only do this with small amounts and I don't recommend this as a regular practice.
Roger.
