decided on my next project

I've been into Olds stuff for a while. When I was a kid the hot thing to do was yank the 350 out of your pickup and drop a 455 from a wrecked wagon or 88 in and go have some fun. I have a broad interest in cars and engines. I love unique stuff, old hemis, flatheads, shovelheads.... I had a really nice 1986 Monte SS years ago. Really loved that car. I always wanted to drop a 455 in it. Many many years later now I think I'd like to get a nice builder grade 1983-1984 Hurst Olds and retorfit it with a 425 rocket (yes, I said 425). I'll be watching the forum so let me know what comes up in the south Florida area.

Welcome to CO. You may have to wait for while for that 425, I see one occasionally on Craig's List here in my area so they aren't extinct yet!

Well, it's been a while and alot has happened in my life but I found a nice 67 425. All stock, B heads, nice core. I'm thinking of dropping in on Mahle (they have some kind of location by work) for pistons. Maybe Howards for the cam. Then just drop it into a 307 powered 80's 442 dog and tell people it's the stock engine
