Cutlass A/C Ductwork

Hi All,

I am in the process of restoring a 1970 Cutlass Supreme with A/C.

I have found most of the hard plastic duct parts in various junk yards and round flexible duct, in reproduction. What I can't seem to find anywhere are the rectangular flexible ducts that connect to the side vents. Someone must make a reproduction part (all the original I have found are degraded.) However, I haven't found a supplier. Does anyone know where this item might be found? Anyone found a decent substitute?

Thanks,

Vinnie.

i think you will have to find good used. it is out there just hard to find. i think i have more left side than right side. i will see if i have an extra set that is good. last set i sold i got $100 for. about $20 of that was for good packing to keep it from flexing around during shipping. the right side is easy to install but the left can be a major pain.

Thanks guys,

I tried vintage in Tampa. He only has round ducts. I have called most of the usual suspects and come up empty. All of the used ducts that I've seen were pretty degraded. Wonder if there is someone out there who will make custom ducts? With the popularity of this vehicle - I'm surprised it is such a difficult item to find!

I also tried to find someone who makes them and I searched and searched and to no avail could I find any. I called Scott who is OLDSPACKRAT on this site and got a set from him. I think you might want to call Desert Valley Auto 1 800 905 8024, they told me they had sets at that time I was looking but of course they are used like the set I got from Scott.

I think Vintage Air in San Antonio has square to round adapters for their systems, just another idea if you cannot locate decent originals.

Eric(Jensenracing77) has first shot, but if not, I still have a few of each side.
