correct timing/bogs

My 1968 442 400ci ,problem The car bogs after I jump on it, and if I am in third and hit it it bucks, it also pings with 108 octane boost. I want to first set timing to correct spec for the factory setting and go from there.any idea what the initial timing should be? Any ideas?

Check out wildaboutcars. They have factory publications that have all those specs in them. I'll assume you cant read the sticker in the engine compartment? I dont know the specs for a 68. 108 octane is pretty high so I'd assume the timing is advanced too far.
