82 88 45

Hope someone can help me with this. My 88 runs great on a level road but when it gets to a hill it starts to sputter and stall out. Wait a few minutes and it will start again, put it in drive and it continues to bog down on the hill and it will stall again. The old fuel filter was dirty so I put a new one in. Went 20 miles with it started up a hill and bogs down, stalls. I pull the filter out and it did not look dirty but I replaced it again. I check the fuel pressure and its ok. I'm thinking it might be the cat converter. Its the original. Any ideas as to what causes it to stall on hills?

Dear Steve, have you put alot of fuel additive in the gas tank recently, it can remove the muck at lower end of tank, then it gets pumped thru to fuel filter/carb which clogs up on an incline. If fuel pressure is ok as you say, you may need to have the fuel lines blown thru, and possibly the gas tank cleaned out. Hope this helps, Roger Kent in UK (1975 Delta 88 Royale Convertible)
