Converting manual window doors to stock power?

I am replacing the rusted out doors on my 72 cutlass. I have power windows/ect and only decent replacement doors I could find are manual. Can I put the power windows and locks in to the manual doors?

p.s. I am a new member but have looked in on this site for a while

I moved your post to the Cutlass section and reworded your title.

Sure, should be no problem, but you may have to do some adjustments to get the glass back in proper alignment.

If you don't have the original power window wiring harnesses, you'll also have to create them.

Welcome to the site... All the power window parts from your old doors should transfer without any problems...

Just transfer everything over to the new doors. I would think all the necessary holes should be in the new doors also. I think you will have to pull the wire harness out of your door before you remove it from the car. piece of cake.

Actually, the hole for the wire at the door jamb will need to be drilled in the new doors. The mechanism itself SHOULD bolt up to the existing holes, but carefully compare the old and new shells to be sure first.

And only take one of the electric windows out of the doors at a time. Put it in the new door, so you have the other to refer to if you have any problems. Then when that door is done, then switch the other and have the first one to refer to.
