Another Newbie

I have a 70 cutlass convertible that I rebuilt and had almost ready for paint back in the early 90's
I replaced the engine with a high compression pull from a cutlass 442 version never got things tweaked.
Long story short a few yrs under a pine tree etc the car is need of another rebuild.
Including replacing the frame.

I found a Chevelle frame and started disassembling.
This time I am going to try to label things and not store all the bolts in the washer fluid reservoir.

I have all the original number engine tran etc and a 442 engine th400 and rear.

Looking forward to all the advice and info in this forum

Leaning towards the 442 config with the dual gate his and hers shifter.

I will be looking to identify the 442 rear end.
I will post pic hopefully tomorrow

Looking forward to all the info and advice

Ha, that's funny as it is so true. I eventually learned to label all the parts with a description written on masking tape attached to the parts. Still somehow ended up with a spare part or two at the end of the build.

Welcome to CO. Try using Ziploc Freezer bags in quart and gallon size because they are heavier. Write bolt description/location on a parts tag and insert it in the bag. Use duct tape on seams for heavier batches in gallon size bags. AND take pics of things. Good luck.
