Thumbs up Allistar

Hello everyone just wanted to say hello from Cape Coral Florida. Land of the classic auto shows. Working on my big olds cruiser and meeting a lot of classic car owners in the process. Not to many of these floating around.

Welcome. I really like that car. It is the perfect color and the wheels really look nice on it. That are probably more of those cars around than you think but maybe not many in your area. Enjoy your car.

Thank you just trying to keep it running, still has the original engine and tranny, over 200 k miles and still going strong. Just put it in the shop today to have all brake line and brake hose,s replaced. Notice original hose,s were cracked on the outside, never been changed. Recent brake job.

Love those wheels . They fit the looks of that car perfectly! Good call on replacing brake hoses especially on a single brake system, no second chance with those! Welcome!

Is there anyway of having in the future a dual system installed for the braking system on this car. I’m thinking in the future of installing a disk brake system. Nothing is really wrong with the system now just thinking ahead as far as parts availability.

That is a common upgrade and a good one. I think a system from a 67 would fit. I believe that was the first year of the dual master cylinder. One of the experts will speak up I am sure.

Is there anyone on the site that has a steering column for sale for this particular vehicle. What I need is a tilt column or non tilt column. What I have now is a tilt column from a 1966 tornado installed and I Need to replace it. It’s practically non existent to find the correct signal unit for this column. Any advice would be extremely helpful. I have even considered installing and aftermarket column and any ideals would be helpful.

You might try Hess Bros. Auto Wrecking in Calif .
Phone 530-824-4100
They have several mid-sixties Olds in their yard .

I bought some exhaust hangers from them , and they are very helpful .
And they will ship parts.

I think that '66 full size cars would be the same , but compare carefully before buying .
Are you looking for a column shift or floor shift column ?
