Hope I'm in the correct forum. I have a 1997 Oldsmobile 88 LS (179,650 miles). I bought this from my OCD father-in-law in 2003 & LOVE this car. I need some help with some part numbers and some mechanical issues.

I've just had the headliner replaced (I live in Arkansas now & the humidity raises hell here) & the front passenger over-door grab assist was broken during the replacement & the tech has been unable to locate a replacement.

Can somebody help me w/some info on that? (Dark grey in color preferably.)

I don't want to ramble on if this is a forum for older, more "classic" cars.

I appreciate any info...there are more issues I'd like to address but it seems this site might be for older restored vehicles so I'll start with this request.

Kevin welcome to our site. Our site isn't for any "type" of Oldsmobile owner, if you have a passion for your car then stick around.

As far as your "oh-$H!+" handle is concerned, you can get one from any 1992-1999 GM H Body. This would be an Olds 88 / LSS or Buick LeSabre. You can probably get it from a 1991-1996 Olds 98 / Regency as well.

Unfortunately, I don't have a part number. If you could order this from a GM dealer I would be surprised. Good luck in your search.

Call your local scrap yards. Plenty of them out there waiting for you.

Welcome to the site, there were quite a few wrecking yards scattered around the N Little Rock area years ago. You can also post a parts wanted list in the forums here.

Thanks for the info on the handle. I live way out in the sticks so not too many scrapyards up here but I'll start knocking on doors.
