85 Toro

Hi, I have an 1985 Toronado, white exterior with a white vinyl roof, and a light beige (champagne) interior.I need a steering wheel in tan,and someone who can restore formed armrests. My the vinyl is fine but the foam is breaking up under the vinyl. We purchased this car from the original owners with 68,800 miles. The car needs a paint job,and misc. other repairs. The car has lived its entire life in Southern California. I'll be shipping the car to its new home in Northeast Ohio.Don't worry,it has an empty garage waiting, and won't be driven in any bad weather.I used to have and restored a 1957 Oldsmobile 98 Starfire htp coupe.

Welcome to our site. If you have pics of either car please post them.

Do you still have the original steering wheel? Is it just damaged? If so, there is a place that restores steering wheels. If you don't have the steering wheel then you will either have to find an OE replacement or an aftermarket steering wheel. Grant has alot of nice designs.

To have your armrests repaired you might find a local interior shop. I had a local interior guy recover my vinyl armrests with fabric. Of course, it isn't "original" but it looks great.

this car sounds suspiciously like a car my friend in Palm Springs just bought from a lady named Doris in Torrance for his Dad in N.E. Ohio - is Hillbilly going to move it for you?

Hey Dad! Glad you joined! Here are the photos of the car...since I am pretty sure you're not going to post them!

Looking forward to the OCA Nationals!

Hi,Thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome, and yes it is the same car.I haven't talked to them yet about transporting the car,but do intend. I'm not in any hurry as the car is going to be painted out there. The paint is very thin or checked in some areas as for the last 2 years it ast out in the sun.I'm very fortunate the interior is as good as it is.Once again, thanks again everyone.................Bill
