Hi can anyone help? I have a 1976 toronado 455 ci and cannot get any information on the front motor mount. All the information I have seen shows side mounts but mine is directly under the front of the engine and bolts to the front cross member, it is oblong and is approx three inches wide x 6 inches long with two holes to bolt to the frame and two to the motor.
Thanks
Bill D

Welcome. One of the unfortunate things you'll find in the Oldsmobile world is that just about every single catalog and vendor you search has Oldsmobile motor mounts listed incorrectly.
The side mounts you see are for RWD cars. They obviously won't work on your car. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone actually makes the correct front mount for the early Toros. Fusick doesn't even list it. Your only options will be good used parts or have your old mount revulcanized by a vendor like Steele Rubber. Sorry.
The only other thing you might try is contact the GMC Motorhome community. The 1973-77 motorhomes used Toronado drivetrains and Olds engines. There's a lot of money in that community and they have developed a lot of unique and repro parts that also fit Toros. They MIGHT have a motor mount.
I bet even if it does not EXACTLY fit the front it would be possible to adapt it to fit. If a real one can't be found and an old one can't be refurbished.

Again thanks, you are correct my rear left and right look to be the same, the illustration you showed for the front looks right but as you said I can always modify as required if it the holes do not line up.
