We just bought a 73 cutlass supreme, but the bumper wasn’t attached at first. We have the bumper, but not the piece to attach it. If anyone has advice or the correct pieces let me know.

 

Welcome to the group... Are you referring to the front or rear bumper??? There should be a reinforcement mounted to the bumper which in turn mounts to the absorbers/frame rails... Where are you located???

 

I’m in Colorado Springs. The front bumper is the issue, we have the bumper and the piece under it, but there’s no clear place where both would attach

That’s very useful and just the information we need, but do you have any advice on where to get the remaining pieces

 

So after seeing the above drawing, what pieces you missing

 

We only have the bumper and reinforcement, we’re missing everything else

 

I guess your best bet would be to put a wanted ad in the Parts Wanted section. Just sort of ask about needing the front bumper mount for a 73 Cutlass.... pretty vague but I guess you don't really know what you need... A lot of guys who sell parts watch that section and may be able to advise you. The Newbie Forum is mostly just for introducing yourself and really doesn't get too much traffic. Another thing you could do locally is ask around at salvage yards for the parts you need. Good luck!!
