Talking 70 442 W30 - OW transmission

I am looking for a 70 olds 442 W30 transmission (OW). Does anyone have one to sell? I have all the missing parts (yes, even the F heads and correct # distributor) to my convertible and need to replace the transmission.

Let me know if anyone wants to help me complete my restoration.

check the Buick boards too as OWs came on 70/71 Buick GSs with the 455. If this a clone you are building I would say there is really no reason to spend all that money on an OW trans, no one would notice that anyway. If its the real thing I haven't seen an OW for sale in a while, though they do pop up occasionally.

That really sucks they sold the Engine and Trans. So you're looking for a case with the 70 OW tag on it or do you want a complete trans? I'll keep an eye out. I do deal with a few guys that come across these things occasionally.

All I have at the moment is a 67 OB Variable Pitch long shaft but not willing to let it go cheap, and a 75 ?? short shaft passenger car BOP complete rebuildable core from a Pontiac.

I'd agree with Steven though. Don't let a trans hold you up on your build. For now, just find you any BOP Th400 and eventually you'll come across a OW case or trans.

You don't have your city and state listed under you ID, so noone knows where you're located. That usually helps in parts location and/or selling parts. I'm in OKC, OK metro area and would let the 75 BOP core go for $100 if that does you any good.

Do you know what a yellow tag OD from a cutlass is? I was told it came from a 455 engine car and might have been a W30. Can you tell me what this trans really came from?

I may be able to locate another one soon. It will be the same price as my last one if I am able to get it.
