68 Willow Gold / Willow Gold 442
Hey hello everyone, I have jumped back into the Olds family! First time since 97. Always knew I would probably get another 442 a 68/69. My first two cars were 67’s coupe and a conv. This 68 needs a lot of work, it has the original 400 with a auto.☹️ Very plain Jane car that I will probably run steelies with poverty caps. It has documented miles at 95k 4th owner. Car has sat in the weather not moving or running for 21 years engine turns over , have not started it yet. Working on the brakes (DRUM☹️) and fuel system. Not much paint left on the exterior, and interior is all original but heavily worn. CS or SC rear axle, so probably a 3.08. Thinking of putting a 3.90 ring & pinion? Not going to do much long freeway driving. Little bit of rust in drivers floor area (not bad)! Bit behind drivers quarter, small patch. probably add front disc later. So like I said lots of stuff to do. Wish me lots of luck

Welcome to the site! Looks like you have a solid car to start with. Are those yellow on black California plates on it? Pretty cool that you know how many people have owned the car before you. So few of the cars out there have the history with them.

Sonoma co. This car was bought new in Sacramento Ca. At Sutton Oldsmobile in 11/67 by a retired 60 year woman , that owned the car till she was 84 . Trying to reach her 89 year old son for info. They never answer the phone! I’m assuming that the car wasn’t hot rodded, at least until after it was sold to the second owner! Let’s see some pictures of your friends 68 Willow 442.

My favorite cutlass year and color. Good luck with your resto.
As for that convertible, I'm looking at the ebay ad, and man - what a shame. I've restored 2 very rusty cars, but I just don't see much to work with there.
