66 Olds 442 Radiator Upper/Lower Supportsw

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help with a small problem. I have a 66 Olds 442 w/o air, 400ci, 4 speed, convertible. First problem, it runs hot while at a stand-still, I decided to change thermostat, radiator cap still runs hot. Next I decided to change water pump (old one was in good shape) and radiator. My second problem, the old radiator had about a 10-20 deg tilt forward. In order for the new radiator to fit, it would have to tilt forward also, is this correct or is this the wrong top plate. Also there isn't a shroud
around the radiator. Thanks for any reply.

The radiator should stand vertical and should have the shroud and seals. I dont think the angle would matter much, but the shroud and seals will really help.

Thanks RandyS for your quick response, I'll install the shroud and hopefully that'll solve my problem.

What fan do you have and is it blowing air on the engine. If you have a 4 speed it should have a 4 blade fan without a clutch. As far as the shroud goes they are hard to find in good shape. You may be running to lean try a 1/4 turn on the jets.
