05A means built 1st week of May, so that would be May 1966. Others will be able to decode the rest of it.

I do a little drag racing and the track want's a rollbar.Any advice would be awesome.

 

If you are running 11.49 or quicker, or 13.99 or quicker with a convertible, NHRA requires a roll bar; your car is a 3807 = Cutlass Sports Coupe (2 door sedan). I suggest getting a rule book first.

 

Would never pass inspection.These are Friday test n tunes.Original motor,engine,trans at shop.It has run 11.69 with 502 BBC,4.56 gears,open
headers,slicks.Shed a bunch of weight.Rear seat,bumper,Trunk springs ect. Maybe 8 passes all year.Just for fun.Won't cut the car.
