Hi all
Can't find a red steering wheel for my 62 f-85 convertible so I'm thinking of changing it to an after market one what do I need to do?

You could paint your current wheel if it's in good shape. Otherwise, an aftermarket wheel will require an adapter hub. Your choices are limited. I recently installed an old Superior 500 wood wheel on my 62 F-85 wagon. I bought the wheel used then found a correct hub and adapter kit for the car. If you're looking at later aftermarket wheels that use the five or six screw mounting pattern, you may not be able to find an adapter for the 61-63 cars.

Checked with Billit steering wheels and they told me LeCarra has an adaptor for my year. I emailed them and am waiting for a response

I'm not sure if they are the same, but I have an original red wheel out of a 62 Starfire. I will have to get it out and look at it, but I believe it has a few cracks in the plastic. PM me if you would like more info
