Talking Welcome to CO

You need to get your hands on a Oldsmobile shop manual. They show up on E-bay quite often. It will help you with the information you're looking for. Post some pictures our you car soon please. There are several 57 guys on the site to answer questions and help you out

i actually have a original 1957 shop manual, but its not quite clear on the acc codes, and it does not have a clear picture of where the engine code is.... im considering selling it... i bought when i was 18, im 21 now and have had no money to put towards it. so it just sitting at my parents house, drove it last weekend thou! and i would like to pay off my student loans or my tool bills... but if i dont get on offer i cant refuse i will keep it and someday start restoring it.

Engine codes

I have a 55 Olds and the engine no. is on the left side of the block. Between the front and center exhaust manifold ports. I hope this helps.
