37 Olds

Hello, I am new here and need information about what other Olds transmissions will fit behind my straight eight. Thank you.

Probably nothing that is commonly available. Olds-Cad-LaSalle all used pretty much the same stick transmissions thru about 1952 or so. Not sure if a HydraMatic will bolt to that 1937 block or not since Olds was juggling engine sizes a lot in the late 30s. Which engine does it have?

Welcome aboard james weber.

You might start a new thread in the vintage forum, a bunch of early Olds guys that know their stuff hang out there and someone should have a answer for you. A 37 Olds is a little out of my era of knowledge so I'm not going to even attempt an answer for fear of demonstrating my ignorance....Lost in the fifties ...Tedd
