Hello everybody this is my first posting.

To clarify, when I turn on the left blinker, the light that indicates the blinker should be on (you know the one that is visible on the dash) comes on and stays lit. It does not flash in anyway. In addition, the actual left turn signal light does not engage in either the front or rear of the car.

The brake lights work just fine, and the right turn signal blinkers work fine as well. Only the left ones malfunction. Any thoughts?

Do the 4-way flashers work at all 4 corners?
If you jiggle the handle (TS lever) do they give any sign of life?
I sense the TS switch may be defective if the 4-ways work...

 

Yes, one of your signal lights is burnt out. If it goes on solid on the left, either the front or back signal light is burnt out. Easy fix. That info will also be in your owners manual. The bulb you need will also be there in the specifications but IIRC it will be an 1157A

 

Rob I tried finding the "TC" switch in my shop manual for the car and don't know exactly what that is. My friend mentioned something about a "turn signal control unit" Could that be it?

 

That should be TS for turn signal... Sorry for that typo to lead you on a wild goose chase!
Do the 4 ways work?
