1971 Cutlass Parts

I live in the Columbus area and I'm restoring my 1971 Cutlass Supreme. I recently attended the Good Guys car show here in Columbus Ohio. My intentions were to purchase my parts there. Unfortunently, there were no vendors for Oldsmobile, mostly Chevy, Ford, Buick.... (I got lucky and purchased some door handles).

With that said: if anyone can help. I'm looking for the below parts

Chrome Vertical Hood Louver - I've observed that there are lateral and vertical hood lover that go on the hood. Mine are Vertical. Mine are rusted and very old

Stock Mirror - preferably new

Grille - preferably chrome

Front/Rear Bumber - I'd like to purchase new, however if anyone has any suggestion on restoring the one I have that will be very helpful....posibly dipping are re-polishing if this make any sense.

IF ANYONE LIVES IN THE COLUMBUS AREA: Please let know if there will be swapmeet in town to soon to purchase additional parts.

Welcome to CO , there are quite a few members here from Ohio though a couple ya gotta watch out for If you are looking for a new mirror you could try fusick although I think they are reproduction made in China for all I know. An authentic new in the box GM mirror may be difficult and expensive to buy. hang in there these guys will help steer you in the right direction.

Welcome fellow Buckeye.

Who are the couple of official Ohio state nuts that have to be watched out for?

There's an Olds club chapter show in Columbus with a swap meet on Sepermber 20th.
The Northern Ohio chapter show and swap meet is August 22nd in Alliance if you want to travel north a bit.

I've never been to the Columbus show, the show in Alliance has a pretty good swap meet and a lot of show cars, one of the largest in the country.

Here are pics of the show from last year.

Please disregard the green '72 Cutlass Supreme with Chebby stripes for it was not very pretty under the hood and could give people nightmares.
Beauty was skin deep but ugly went clear through to the bone on that thing, not mine fortunately.
It's the one on the first page, the car with the formerly dirty, greasy, unpainted and undetailed engine that wins trophies every week now.

The '71 Supreme grille was diecast white metal painted silver with black in the eggcrate, these are not reproduced, so finding a good set to restore (like I did) is probably the only option. Try ros6872@hotmail.com (203) 272-7103. He may be able to help.
