Hej Ambjorn!
Welcome to the site. Nice looking car you have, as well as the farmland it is on. Better enjoy some driving before the snows start to fall. What area in Sweden are you in? (Want to see if I had been there or not...)

Thanks for the welcome

Living in the middle of the country, Västernorrland.
It is always some thing to do on an old car, the paint is worn, the front fender is not original, the heater does not work.
Something to do too

The interest in old cars is increasing.
Sweden population is only 9 million, but many cars anyway.
the largest is the "Big Meet" about 17 000 cars.

"The Biggest American show in the world in Västerås, Sweden. More cars, more people, more swap meet vendors than you can believe. A friendly carnival atmosphere makes Power Big Meet the ideal vacation spot!
Over 17.000 cars. Street Rods, Customs, 50's cruisers, 60's muscle cars, Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros – you name it and it will be at Power Big Meet."

My dad had a 71' 98 when I was a kid, and a pretty nice car. For how big it was, thing really moved. 70's had higher compression, so even a bit more power. My dad's had the posted wheel covers, and looked pretty good. Never knew you swedes were so big on older American cars, until I'd seen TV car programs, of some of car shows you guys put on. Latest was a program "Car Crazy", and you may be able to track down a computer pod cast on this.
Welcome to CO
The big 98 make you an automatic member of the official Oldsmobile land yacht club club which has been a part of this site for several years now. Most of the new members aren't even aware of its existence.

An example of what we use cars to, in a small village but about 1000 inhabitants and about 50 cars.

Ambjorn Impressive! Just looking at the pics you posted I swear I was looking at a normal small town US City! Great collection of cars
Great turnout and lots of nice cars.
I have not been in your particular city; only close by on a train. Beautiful country all in all.
But the traditional red buildings with white trim clearly screams Swedish!

Now if you want to see some stunning contrasting colors, visit Nfld. I kid you not - this is real!
