Hello!
I'm the owner of a 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire convertible. Have been looking for a set of front wheel bearing hubs.
I have 3 questions:
1) Does anyone know where I might find them?
2) I was told that full size Pontiacs & Buicks 1959 to 1964 would also fit?
3) How easy is it to convert to a disc break set up?

Why do you need hubs? The bearings and races can be replaced and are readily available. The hubs typically do not require replacement so no one makes them. Unlike newer versions, in the 1960s the full size cars all used unique chassis, suspension, and brakes. I suspect that only Olds parts will work. Be aware that the left hand side uses LH thread lug nuts and LH thread on the spindle nut.

 

Olds never serviced the hubs on these cars. They are part of the brake drum. You can separate the hubs and drums by chiselling out the wheel studs, but as far as I know there are no replacement hubs available.
