1954 Super 88 Post
I would love to find my old '54 Super 88 Post. It is very distinctive with fully radiused rear wheel wells, like a Buick Century. I sold it when I got drafted into the Army, in 1966
When I sold it, the color was metallic green with black interior. It had a 371 with Cad 3-speed and Hurst shifter. This was state-of-the-art in 1966!
I lived in the Bay Area of California and the car is no longer listed in CA DMV records. Anyone know of this car?

The chances that it is still around as you knew it are pretty much slim and none, it was a rather new used car at that time but was set up as a hotrod, doubtful it has survived 40+ years. I think your best bet would be to find a post car and duplicate what you once had.By the way 54 post cars aren't that common even though they built a bunch of them. Best of luck....Lost in the fifties ..Tedd

Lots of luck with that!
I would love to find my 1960 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday SceniCoupe. It too was very distinctive in that it had a a factory 3-speed, on the column, manual transmission. It was ebony (black) with red/white interior. It was shaved, nosed and sported '57 Plymouth Points hubcaps. Last seen by me in 1966 or so, when I sold it in Indianapolis, IN.
Anyone with knowledge of the whereabouts of this ride, contact me ... .

I figured that It couldn't hurt to post my old car, since it could have left the state and ended up in someone's barn in Kansas! I also had a '57 Chevy 210 4-door wagon that I put at 425hp 409 in it. It was a real sleeper! I sold it in about 1970 and I think it went to Colorado...
If I can convince my wife, I would build a replica of the old '54 with a few updates: Disk brakes, 394 or 455, TH400, etc.

Oh; one more thing. The 371 (1958) engine had an Engle cam, BIG AFB carb and Mallory ignition. It was pretty fast in its day, but still got 23mpg on the road. I don't know if it would like today's gasoline...
