WTB - Nice condition late 60-70's Illustrations Catalog

***Found one thank you***I am looking for a nice condition Oldsmobile Illustrations catalog that covers Cutlass/F85 in late 60's into the early to mid 70's. Condition is important as I have one now that's shedding the brown edges. Let me know what you've got and feel free to email me some pics too. Thx, Al alsutton@shaw.ca

Unfortunately that's a May 1980 printing date, which is less useful for 1960s cars. The further the printing date is from the model year you care about, the more parts have been dropped from the parts system. Keep in mind that the parts books only list those parts still available in the parts network as of the printing date, and superseded numbers are the ones shown where that has happened.

Note that the Jan 1972 printing date parts and illustrations books are available on line for free here:

Your are correct Joe, especially as related to Part Numbers... But since he was looking for "Illustrations Catalog" I wasn't sure how the illustrations were dropped from each succeeding catalog and still may have been of some help... I have seen some Illustrations that listed part numbers (superceded or not) and then were shown as discontinued in the actual Parts Catalog... Also, that is why I only listed/suggested the Illustration catalog and not the part number /catalog...

But, why mess with the 1980 version when the 1972 version is available? The later printing won't have more info than the earlier one. The illustrations are generic. They don't cover every single variation of every single model. The listing pages do.

Oh I agree as it’s very relavent. My current parts catalog is dated September 1973 for cars up to the 1974 model year. I missed one that was dated 1972. The great majority that are available are 1983 catalogs. Anyways I’m sure I’ll find the illustrations catalog I’m looking for.
