Lightbulb Thru 1975 - Oldsmobile Illustration Catalog

This should also be useful to go along with the Thur 1975 Oldsmobile Chassis and Body Parts Catalog. Thanks to Charlie Jones having a copy in such good condition, I was able to scan it easily into a .pdf

The table of contents has links to jump to each section...

(However, of course even after size reduction it still is about 366 MB PDF file so you will want to download it.)

Smile Incredibly Grateful

My Son and I are still presently in the process of re-furbishing a 1969 from Alberta (we're on the East Coast in NS) and when acquiring it, one of the first things I did was subscribe to this excellent site. The past, and recent, addition of various manuals has been an incredible resource for our efforts. Not to mention the invaluable discourse of commentaries and technical info between Members that help solve many issues any one of us may have. A very special thanks to the long-time Members and REAL, certified and self-educated, Classic experts that make us driveway mechanics retain hope in actually fixing and re-making the vehicles we have. Thanks for being there, all of you; your help and expertise is incredibly appreciated!

Body work and prep for wrap...

Home after wrap for trim and finishing touches

3M Gloss Blue Fire vinyl wrap. My Son couldn't near afford the price of a proper paint job, but the great thing is the original color (Nassau Blue Iridescent) is still under there.

Man those are awesome 69's. Yeah this site and the Toronado Owners Association Toronado.org made my restoration so much easier. I was one of the first places I found. Things couldn't have worked out better... I found this guy right away on here parting out a 68 Toronado excellent condition, but it got hit in the front end. The dash, instrument cluster, side panels, and ac/heater hoses all are now part of 68's interior. I joined Toronado club at the same time. I found a guy Lynn Davis 785-357-1888 in the classifieds. He had all the first generation product assembly manuals. I think that I sent him $60 bucks and he shipped me one. I have it scanned and the thread is bookmarked to the Toronado thread. I want to get the 66,67,69, and 70 manuals to make available online also. I have emailed him and left a couple messages, but he hasn't called me back. I think he just doesn't want me scan them and put them online. You might try giving him a call, that would be a very valuable resource for you. I just worry that this information is going to be lost to history soon...
