Chris Witt story from his wife

Angela Witt shared a real nice story sbout her and Chris.

I really appreciate this group (Oldsmobile Community), it was Chris' favorite hobby. He was a walking wealth of Olds knowledge. How we met.... there was a 68 442 convertible in front of my house one day. I thought, oooo who's is that? So I took my old bright yellow, sliding door, manual trans, right hand drive US mail Jeep to the store, hoping I was cute enough to get the owners attention. It worked, he asked the neighbor kids. "who's that?" He came back that evening, found out that I knew 442 meant 400, 4bbl, dual exhaust. That I cut my teeth on a 68 Super Bee manual, rode dirt bikes from the time I was 11 and knew how to wrench and rebuild a carb. He could not stand it. 2 weeks later we headed to California. He was so smart, funny, witty, charming and just plain cool . Had no idea there were so many forums! Thank you for your help. Gosh, he was awesome. Just a glimpse of how Chris was.
Regards Mark

I think one of the funniest stories I remember from Chris was where he was going to bottle Lansing air for the tires and sell it for that correct concours restoration. Only Chris.

I seem to recall him saying that was his plan if Olds restorers ever evolved into the kind of guys who did Corvettes.
