Mitchy 70 cutlass

Spinning lug nuts (Not the same as the loose nut behind the wheel)
Same thing happened on my 71 Conv. Noticed it when I checked the bearings and went to tighten the wheel. I could get the lugs tight, but always seemed I could go another turn...
I think the previous owner did a few things with the "less than ideal" method from what I found. And from talking to him, I believe he replaced the lugs in the front drums after they had been replaced already. True, the replacements are oversize but one they are replaced, the next set are going to be the exact same size. I only had one drum with the problem.
I solved it by switching to discs in the front.

Well on Friday me and my dad spent the whole day going to junkyards. Last year when I first got the car my passenger side hub had half inch studs and not all the lug nuts. We found a 69 Buick skylark in a yard and took that hub and then Friday went back and luckily it was still there and had the drivers side hub. Today we installed the hub and had to fix an issue with the alignment of the power steering pump because it shredded the alternator belt. so hopefully it holds up for a little while before something else goes.

So last spring i bought a posi for my car that had come out of a 71 cutlass convertable. Now ive been told that to put that into a 70 the drive shaft needs to be shortened. Can these numbers tell anything?
