Close but no cigar yet

Have the new engine and 700r installed waiting on headers, just measured the driveshaft distance with it on the ground. From the center of the U joint to the tail housing I measured 55 1/2 inches. I plan to order an aluminum shaft and slip yolk. It is the original rear but I am planning to refresh it with bearings new 3.55 gears and a posi.
My question is should I also purchase a new rear yolk as well or is that unnecessary?
