Cover me, I'm going In!

Well the deconstruction has begun. Removed the vinyl top, the roof is rust free(that's good news), tore apart the interior the floors have some surface rust, but look solid. The trunk needs about 2/3rds of the floor replaced. The deck lid filler panel needs to be replaced. The l/r quater panel needs to be replaced (not looking forward to that!). While removing the front seat I discovered some interesting items. I found Um... How can I put this? Two personal massagers of varying sizes. I wonder what used to go on in this car?
I will load some pictures soon.

Ok here are the pics. I assume you meant of the car, I don't have any pics of the massagers. lol

THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICS!

Yep - gotta have 'em!
Looks like you have a good project car there - welcome to the group.
Check my "interior makeover" thread for tips and tricks for the 72 Cutlass. Mine is a vert, but other items will be similar enough.

Massagers? I think you now discovered how your seats got so tore up!
I found some satin sleepwear under the seat of my car, I wonder about that also. Luckily it matched the carpet color....

I am back at it after a 1.5 yr. hiatus. After reading many of the post on this site, I decided to work on the mechanicals first. I picked up a pair of 7 heads from an old engine builder that was retiring. They have brand new stainless steel valves (2.070 int, 1.625 exh.) screw in studs with guide plates and all new hardware. He said that they have hardened valve seats as well. He also sold me a Comp. Cams XE-268h cam, a set of lifters, and a complete gasket set including the valley pan. the heads look great and I got all of this for $650.00. I am saving and purchasing as many parts as I can before I pull the engine and trans.

It's good to be back. I had to take on a part time second job in my friends diesel shop to fund my Cutlass vision. But it will be worth it in the long run. At least until my wife decides that the car really is cool, and starts driving it more than I do.
